Sentimental and poignant, whenever we are given a strand of hope, we are left with emptiness. This film portrays Iran in a raw, honest form through the eyes of children, who give hope even when living on edge in every aspect. It’s sad to see people living through these experiences, but it’s even sadder to see people not realizing their situations.
I should have loved a thunderbird instead; / At least when spring comes they roar back again. / I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead. / (I think I made you up inside my head.) — Sylvia Plath
